Exit Soul
Before we start, it's important to know that Melbourne has played an intergral part in the recording of this album. This album couldn't have been recorded anywhere else, and at any other time in our lives.

Coming over from Adelaide as one giant disfunctional family has solidified us. When you have nine or so people shacked up in one house for a few months, all ideas of modesty and privacy tend to go out the window. So we got out there on a regular basis in terms of our music style and our own comfort zones.
Exit Soul was an idea formed within our collective consciousness from the moment we set foot in Brunswick. Recorded in and around various households, couches, bedrooms etc, we strove to toe the fine line between the album sounding comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere, and capturing the raw energy of our songs. Kind of like an old familiar armchair covered in barbed wire. Kind of.
With the assistance of Oren Gerassi - who helped define and intergrate new soundscapes and recording possibilities, and support from the extended Society of Beggars family, Exit Soul is all about the Power of the Song and the Power of the Performance.
In short, this album has our blood in it.
Enjoy.
